K-2 Students continue to learn to dribble in "ABC's and 123's."

-K-2 students continued their "Dribbling" unit with "ABC's and 123's" while still using the playground balls.  We already did this activity during our soccer unit, this time we just dribbled with our hands instead of our feet.  Students had to use real basketball skills of peripheral vision and continuously picking their heads up and taking their eyes of the ball they were dribbling to find where the next spot was.

We talked about how in real basketball if you keep your head down while dribbling you will not notice the defender coming in to try and take the ball from you.  Next week we will start to use real basketballs which will make dribbling more controllable and easier for some students.  Playground balls are a wonderful way to start!

Best,

-Mr. Shackett
