K-2 Students competed in "Ballistic 1" and "Ballistic 2" is what 3rd and 4th grade played this week...

-This past week in BPMS/SMS PE was "Ballistic" week in PE.  2nd graders are shown in the above video playing "Ballistic 1" which is the developmentally appropriate version for the primary grade students.

In the version featured in this video students had to remember "point" values of different targets.  If the ball they rolled ended up in a given target they had to recall the value of that target and then go collect the correct amount of "points" (rainbow colored popsicle sticks).  Orange cones= 5 points, Orange 5 gallon buckets= 4 points, Trash cans= 3 points, Upside down scooters= 2 points, Hula hoops= 1 points.

-The video above is 3/4's playing "Ballistic 2".  This game has noticably different components than "Ballistic 1."  The 3rd/4th grade game adds in the skill themes of throwing for accuracy and distance as well as guarding.  Our new Jumbo 28" cones came in the mail this past week so we were finally able to play this game and its a keeper for sure!

Best,

-Mr. Shackett
