-Students in grades 3-4 at Smilie played the game "Sonic Boom" this morning. This is a team game where everyone is sitting on a scooter. The object of the game is for teams to push with their arms or kick with their feet the big "Meteors" (Omnikin Balls) onto the other teams side and knock over their "Force Fields" (Gymnastic Mats) that protect them.
This is an exhaustive cardiovascular workout as well as a team/strategy game. Good leadership was shown by many students during this game. Whether it was directing their teammates to stay back and "Guard" the "Force Fields" or play up and be a "Roller" trying to knock over the other teams "Force Fields."
