-"Finesse" is the name because in order to be successful students needed to use some "Finesse." We reviewed the Verb of "Finesse" and talked about how it is that special touch that great athletes like Tiger Woods, Lebron James and Tom Brady can do to make an extremely hard skill look super easy.
Students had to use "Finesse" to get through 3 challenging levels to be successful in this game. The first team to make it through level 1 (rolling three balls into every hula hoop that was lying on the ground on the other side of the gym), Level 2 (getting one foam frisbees to stay in hoop that they had previously gotten three balls to stay in.), and Level 3 (pictured above, getting 3 noodles into a trash can by Javelin throwing them in the air) was the winner of the round.
It is an extremely hard task to get gator skin balls, foam frisbees and noodles to stay in hula hoops and trash cans, but with some "Finesse" added to each roll/throw: success did happen!
