New Blog with updated Posts!!!

What have students in Brewster Pierce and Smilie Elementary Physical Education been up to the past two weeks.  Above are some of the pictures from each of the activities that students in K-2 and 3-4 have been working hard at.

We have had students practicing locomotors while at the same time reinforcing numbers and letters of the alphabet by trying to recreate them with with a jump rope and their own body!  Students have built "Hide Outs" and hid their treasure behind them.  They also got to sneak up on other teams hide outs and steal their treasure while trying to avoid being caught by the class "Police Officers!"

Grades 2-4 students got to explore different ways of moving up and down the gym to earn "Building Blocks!"  It was amazing to see the many different ways they figured out to get from one end of the gym and back.  They also built some great towers at the end of class.  Students also experimented with the activity of "PACEMAKER" to "bump" teammates down the gym to successfully earn points.

Nice job so far.

Please look for weekly blog post from now on regarding the happening in Brewster Pierce Elementary and Smilie Elementary Physical Education.

Sincerely,
